Police received the following calls between 8 a.m.
Friday and 8 a.m. today:

October 30

Between 5 a.m. and 7:49 a.m. 14 bear calls came in, from Wachusetts Street; from near the United Methodist Church; the Assembly of God church; 213 Kimsham; Pets Choice in the 1300 block of HPR; 1334 HPR; 1227 and 1231 Georgeson Loop; 301, 303, 328 and 330 Wachusetts; and Baranof Elementary School.

A welfare check was made on Burkhart Street at 8:46 a.m.

A citizen contact call was logged in the 800 block of Lincoln Street at 4:10 p.m.

A crash with property damage was reported at Market Center at 5:13 p.m.

At 8:39 p.m. a facility on Japonski reported trespassing.

At 8:57 p.m. a bear was reported at Keet Gooshi Heen.

October 31

A bear was reported in the 100 block of Indian River Road at 3:44 a.m.

At 5:28 a.m. a bear was reported on Moller ball field.

An animal problem was reported on Sunset Drive at 1:31 p.m.

A theft was reported at the Castle Hill parking lot at 5:43 p.m.

At 7:56 p.m. a theft was reported on Shelikof Way.

At 11:30 p.m. a domestic problem was reported on Shotgun Alley.

November 1

A noise complaint was filed at 2:07 a.m. at Lifesaver Drive.

A citizen was assisted on Lake Street at 7:18 a.m.

A hotel reported an assault at 9:25 a.m.

Two calls came in at 1:29 p.m. about criminal mischief on Moller ball field.

At 2:55 a.m. trespassing was reported in the 900 block of HPR.

A landslide on Sand Dollar Drive was reported at 6:47 p.m. (See story, page 1.)

A welfare check was made on Darrin Drive at 8:38 p.m.

A welfare check was requested at Sealing Cove at 9:55 p.m.

November 2

A downtown facility reported a theft at 12:57 a.m.

At 2:58 a.m. a bear was reported on Herb Didrickson Street.

At 3 a.m. a domestic problem was reported on Burkhart Street.

 

Sitka Police

Randi Castillo, 27, was arrested on a warrant Saturday.

Virgil Leal, 21, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence.

Alicia Munyer, 44, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received four ambulance calls Friday, six on Saturday, and another six on Sunday.
