Sitka Police Department received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

November 1

At 5 a.m. a vehicle with one passenger was reported running in the Sealing Cove RV parking lot. Officers found nothing amiss.

An animal problem was reported on Peterson Avenue at 7:54 a.m.

A welfare check was requested at a downtown hotel at 10:46 a.m.

At 11:43 a.m. a caller in Illinois asked for a welfare check on a person in Sitka.

An animal problem came in at 12:48 p.m. from Lance Drive.

At 3:22 p.m. an animal call came in from near the trooper academy.

At 4:28 p.m. a bear cache was reported at a trail head off Baranof Street.

Citizen contact was made near the post office.

An animal call came in from ANB Harbor at 11:42 p.m.

November 2

At 1:31 a.m. a bear attractant citation was issued to a resident on Rudolph Walton Circle.

 

Sitka Police

Christian Moe IV was charged early this morning with misconduct involving weapons.

 

Emergency Calls 

Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls Tuesday.
