Police Blotter
Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
November 19
Police tagged a number of junked or abandoned cars.
An Anna Drive resident asked to talk to an officer.
A grocery store manager signed a form for a vehicle to be towed from the property.
A caller asked for a welfare check on a client. The client said she was fine and didn’t want to harm herself.
At 6:30 p.m. a caller asked to talk to an officer after she was unable to take her medication that day. She and police decided the best option was for her to go to the hospital to take the medication, but she refused EMS and said she would call a taxi instead.
Police and a crisis hotline operator worked together to help get a woman to the hospital after she said she wanted to harm herself.
An ambulance was called for a teen who had a high fever and other medical emergencies.
November 20
Officers were advised of two gunshots heard at 4:11 a.m. on Davidoff Street.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance requests at 7:17 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, and 11:04 a.m. today.
