Sitka Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
November 21
At 9:53 a.m. a security check was made at Thomsen Harbor.
A caller reported the siding of a shed on Kiksadi Court had been ripped off, causing about $2,500 damage. Police opened an investigation.
Found property was turned in at the police station.
At 2:52 p.m. a vehicle parked at the airport was damaged in a hit and run. The damage was estimated at $2,500.
An incident of drunkenness was reported at Centennial Hall.
An animal call came in from Riggs Road at 5:13 p.m.
At 10:11 p.m. a noise complaint came in from Kiksadi Court.
November 22
At 2:09 a.m. a noise complaint came in from Burkhart Drive.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 11:12 a.m., 4:40 p.m., 4:47 p.m., 5:11 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Monday, and at 5:13 a.m., 8:03 a.m. and 8:05 a.m. today.
In Court
Toby Bernhardt, 19, on a Sept. 1 charge of disorderly conduct, creating a hazard condition, a class B misdemeanor, was sentenced to three days, suspended, and fined $500, suspended. He is to complete an anger management class and complete 10 hours of community work service. He was placed on probation until Nov. 16, 2023. A charge of interfering with a report of a domestic violence crime was dismissed by the prosecution.
