Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.

November 23

At 12:01 a.m. a citizen assist call was made from the Salvation Army.

At 8:28 a.m. suspicious activity was reported at Thomsen Harbor.

Littering was reported on Charles Street at 8:44 a.m.

An animal problem was reported at the Starrigavan overflow parking area at 9:42 a.m.

A theft was reported at a business in the 200 block of Harbor Drive at 2:51 p.m.

At 4:23 p.m. a bear was reported at 305 Wachusetts Street.

At 9:43 p.m. suspicious activity was reported at Blatchley Middle School.

November 24

At 12:04 a.m. a caller reported a bear at 217 Vitskari Street.

Sitka Police

Norman Paul, 45, was arrested Monday for a probation violation.

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 10:16 p.m. Monday, and 2:24 a.m., 2:32 a.m. and 8:49 a.m. today.
