Police Blotter
    Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
November 22
    A caller said one of the toilets at Whale Park had been destroyed.
    A downtown business reported finding a camera behind the store and while trying to find out whose it was the staff found some inappropriate photos on it, they told police.
    A stalking order was to be served.
    At 2:32 p.m. a caller said he’d heard a vehicle had passed a school bus stopped with its red lights flashing at Price Street and HPR.
    At 5:39 p.m. a caller reported finding a woman lying on the sidewalk on Seward Avenue. She was taken to the hospital.
    At 7:56 p.m. a caller said a man had punched him in the face at a downtown bar and he was now walking away and his nose was bleeding heavily. He said he didn’t know his assailant. He was taken to the hospital.
    At 9:31 p.m. a boy and a girl, both 16, were found intoxicated at 1330 Seward Avernue, with PBTs of .136. The boy was charged with two counts of assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence, and both he and the girl were cited for minor consuming.
November 23
    At 1:26 a.m. a caller said he’d been nearly hit by a Dodge as he walked on Baranof Street. Officers weren’t able to find the car.
    At 2 a.m. a caller reported seeing a man who appeared to be carrying a bottle of alcohol get into a car’s driver seat and appeared intoxicated. An officer found the driver was sober.
    A caller said he’d caught a cat hanging out at Paxton Manor and put it in the shelter’s rabbit hutch.
    At 8 p.m. a caller said his black Lab Charlie escaped from his yard about 6:45 p.m. and hadn’t returned. A little later, the caller said Charlie had shown up at the front door.
    At 11:45 p.m. a 911 caller said he’d like to call the police on himself, and was at the “4-way.” He seemed  to  be impaired and wasn’t able to answer the dispatcher’s questions. Officers found he was intoxicated but able to care for himself.
November 24
    At 2:39 a.m. a caller said a man sitting on a bench outside of Lakeside was yelling profanities at himself. Officers were advised.
    At 4 a.m. a caller said an unruly man entered a hospital lobby, refused to leave, and took his pants off. Officers found he was highly intoxicated and suicidal. He was admitted for evaluation.
    At 4:25 a.m. a caller said neighbors broke into her house, spread blood over a wall and her clothes, and put “fiber optic listening devices in her floor.” Asked to hold for an officer she said she didn’t have time and would go to the station the next day.
    At 5:38 a.m. a caller said her husband has been expressing suicidal thoughts. Officers spoke to him, and he said he wasn’t suicidal. His father said he didn’t think his son was suicidal.
    An ambulance was called for a store customer not feeling well, at 10:44 a.m.
    At 11:40 a.m. a woman asked for help getting a man to leave her residence, then hung up. Police talked to all involved in an ongoing argument, which included a woman trying to throw the man’s belongings outside, and the woman getting pushed into a wall. The man agreed to leave to allow the situation to settle down.
    Police helped verify a passenger’s identity at the airport.
    At 2:03 p.m. a resident asked police to remove his son and son’s girlfriend from his residence, because they are not supposed to be living there and had been drinking “all the time” or sleeping for three weeks. He was advised it was a civil issue.
    The dispatcher received a call and could hear people arguing in the background, at 5:23 p.m. Police talked to a couple, and gave the woman a ride to another residence.
    At 7 p.m. fireworks were reported going off near Katlian Street.
    A jacket with ID was left in a gym. Police called the owner, who had already returned to collect it.
    At 9:50 p.m. a caller said a bear ate a chicken on Pherson Street and damaged a gate leading to her backyard. The caller said she was concerned that the bear posed a danger to her children and dog. Police advised her of her options and precautions she could take.
November 25
    At 2:29 a.m. a bear was reported eating a deer hanging in a shed on Pherson Street. The bear left before police arrived. Another call was received from neighbors about the bear.

Sitka Police
    Charla Bernhardt, 35, was charged Sunday with violating conditions of release for allegedly contacting a victim of a domestic violence case, and consuming alcohol.
   
In Court
    John P. Ihde, 41, was ordered to serve three days for violating probation. His probation was revoked, resuspended and extended. A charge of reckless boating was dismissed.
    Thurman L. Cairnes, 40, was sentenced to one day for disorderly conduct (loud noise).
    David B. Fletcher, 52, was sentenced to 30 days, with 27 suspended, and fined $1.500 on a charge of driving under the influence. His license is revoked for 90 days and he will be  on probation for a year. He is to follow counseling recommendations.
    Peter M. Roddy, 67, was sentenced to 30 days with 27 suspended (jail or house arrest), and fined $1,500, on a charge driving under the influence. His license is revoked for 90 days, he will be on probation for a year and he is to follow counseling recommendations.
    Michael P. Busby, 33, was sentenced to 30 days, with 27 suspended, and fined $1,500, on a charge of  driving under the influence. His license is revoked for 90 days and he is to follow counseling recommendations. He will be on probation for a year.
 
Emergency Calls
    Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances twice on Friday, three times Saturday and twice Sunday.
