Police Blotter
Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:
November 26
A caller reported a case of bank fraud.
At 12:47 p.m. the animal control officer picked up puppies from Klawock that had been surrendered.
A resident asked about repealing a criminal trespass order. He was advised to speak with the courts.
At 4:49 p.m. a caller asked for a welfare check on a neighbor who’s screaming profanities. Police talked to the caller, and found no sign of a crime.
At 7:09 p.m. an ambulance was requested for a person who had fallen down and hurt his wrist.
Officers talked to three men at Eagle Beach, who said they were doing work on a vessel. The man who claimed to be the owner was advised to get the title to the vessel straightened out as soon as possible.
November 27
At 4:22 a.m. a resident reported an intoxicated person vomiting on her neighbor’s porch on Osprey Street. It turned out he had permission to be there, and there was no crime.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 6:57 p.m. and 9:16 p.m. Monday.
At 12:50 p.m. Monday a fire truck was sent to 124 Indian River Road after a pot melted on a stove. Fire crews removed the hot melted item and cleared smoke out of the residence.
Coast Guard
Coast Guard Air Station Sitka medevacked a 68-year-old woman with internal bleeding on Monday afternoon from Haines to Juneau.
