Police Blotter
Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:
November 28
Juneau Police Department requested assistance in serving a domestic violence order.
A hotel requested a criminal trespass complaint form.
A downtown store reported a theft caught on camera.
A store on Seward Street asked police to take a report of a theft.
A downtown restaurant said a man was sleeping in the building entryway. Officers contacted the man, who woke up and agreed to leave the area.
A caller said a driver didn’t come to a complete stop at a stop sign and grazed a bicyclist before driving off. The bicyclist didn’t report injuries.
A downtown store said a woman who had stolen earlier had returned and was stealing more items. An officer talked to the woman, who surrendered the stolen items and was verbally trespassed from the store. Theft charges are to be forwarded.
A caller asked whether she needed a police report for a civil issue. An officer advised her of her options.
At 11 p.m. a caller said his downstairs neighbors were screaming at each other and he heard a woman say “Call the police.” The man had left when officers arrived.
November 29
One vehicle parked at the airport was cited and three others given written warnings for parking violations.
At 4:40 a.m. a caller said an irate man – the former boyfriend of the caller’s girlfriend – was outside the Marine Street residence trying to break down the door. The man was gone when officers arrived, and the caller was advised to call police if he returned.
Sitka Police
Linda D. Marvin, 46, was charged Wednesday with violating conditions of release by failing to maintain contact with the Pretrial Enforcement Division.
Kalina T. Heitman-Merkel, 27 was charged Wednesday with violating conditions of release.
Norman Paul Jr., 43, was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct.
Fred George, 33, was charged Wednesday with criminal trespass.

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 10:26 a.m., 11:21 a.m., 11:44 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. Wednesday.
