Police Blotter
Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
November 5
An ambulance was dispatched for a person who fell down some stairs.
A Samsung phone was lost.
At 5:32 p.m. a resident said a driver hit a few signs, got out of the car, and changed seats with the passenger. One of the people in the car was cited.
At 8:52 p.m. a man mumbling and talking to himself at Harrigan Centennial Hall appeared to be having trouble standing up from a seat in the lobby, but was not bothering anyone, the caller said. He was gone when police checked the area.
A resident having trouble with depression was given a ride to the hospital.
November 6
At 4:53 a.m. a caller asked for a welfare check on a friend who was having problems with her husband, was drinking, and having thoughts of harming herself. The caller was worried because she was unable to reach her friend on the phone. While police were on the phone to the caller the friend texted the caller, saying she was fine and there was no need for a welfare check. Officers were advised.
Sitka Police
Nikkia Brazell, 17, was cited for failing to have a valid driver’s license.

Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 8:41 a.m., 12:16 p.m., 1:25 p.m., 4:37 p.m. and 11:19 p.m. Tuesday.
