Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.

November 6

At 3:13 a.m. and 4:36 a.m. callers reported a bear in the 100 block of Rudolph Walton Drive.

A case of drunkenness was reported at 10:29 a.m. at ANB Harbor.

A downtown hotel reported a theft.

A 5:51 p.m. an animal problem was reported on Spruce Street.

At 10:26 p.m. a bear was reported near Indian River.

November 7

A domestic problem was reported on Marine Street at 3:52 a.m.

At 4:59 a.m. a bear was reported in the 2000 block of SMC.

At 8:37 p.m. a traffic accident with damage was reported in the 100 block of Lillian Drive.

At 9:27 p.m. a bear was reported in the 900 block of Indian River Road.

November 8

At 12:01 a.m. a bear was seen on Anna Drive.

Between 2:14 a.m. and 7:54 a.m. nine bear calls came in from Jamestown Drive, the 200 block of Lance Drive, Versa Place, Haley Avenue and 877 SMC.

Criminal mischief was reported on Louise Court.

A disturbance was reported in the 200 block of Harbor Drive.

At 4:53 p.m. a bear was reported on Naomi Kanosh Drive.

At 11:44 p.m. a bear was reported on Lance Drive.

November 9

At 2:13 a.m. a bear was reported at 877 SMC.

 

Sitka Police

Justin Osbakken, 29, was charged with violating conditions of release Saturday.

Robert Hobart, 33, was charged Saturday with violating conditions of release.

Harold Abellera, 41, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence.

Brendon Hoffay, 26, was charged Sunday with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received six ambulance calls Friday, none Saturday and five Sunday.

 

Also on Sunday, calls came in at 11:54 a.m. on Bamboroshni Island and at 12:44 at Jamestown Bay, where trash fires had not been reported ahead of time to the fire hall.
