Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

September 30

At 7:41 a.m. residents on Littlebyrd Way were advised on dealing with a communal trash can.

At 7:51 a.m. a parking problem was reported in the 200 block of Monastery Street.

At 12:40 p.m. a man with a shovel was reported near a cemetery at the Gavan Hill trail head. Officers found the man had permission to be there.

At 1:30 p.m. a large white dog was reported to have been barking since 5 a.m. in the area of the Forest Service trailer park on HPR. The animal control officer was advised.

Officers assisted the adult probation officer in locating a man.

A dog was reported running alongside a vehicle at Davidoff and Charteris  streets at 5:24 p.m.

 

Sitka Police

Noemi McCormick, 32, was charged Thursday night with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence related.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received four ambulance calls Thursday.
