Police received the following calls between Friday and 8 a.m. today:

October 16

At 1:56 a.m. a bear was reported on Lakeview Drive, and at 3:12 a.m. one was reported on Rudolph Walton Circle.

Suspicious activity  was noted  in at 410 Lake Street at 4:54 a.m.

At 11:21 a.m. a bear was reported on Cascade Street.

At 11:10 p.m. a bear was reported on Tilson Street.

A traffic accident with damage was reported at 11:41 p.m. near Sea Mart.

October 17

Drunkenness was reported on Harbor Mountain Road at 1:06 a.m.

At 3:05 a.m. a bear was reported at Etolin and Park streets, and at 4:57 a.m. one was seen on Merrill Street.

At 6:39 a.m. a bear was seen at the Medvejie hatchery.

A disturbance was reported at Crescent Harbor at 12:42 p.m.

At 1:38 p.m. a case of trespassing on Cross Trail came in.

A welfare check was requested on Wolff Drive.

A security check was reportested on Knutson Drive at 8:53 p.m.

A bear was reported on the Keet ball field at 9:19 p.m.

October 18

Suspicious activity was reported on Anna Drive at 12:13 a.m.

At 3:35 a.m. a bear was seen on Wortman Loop.

At 9:02 a.m. a bear was seen at 4257 HPR.

At 10:57 a.m. a theft was reported on Kelly Street.

A case of fraud was investigated on Burkhart Street.

At 7:52 p.m. suspicious activity was reported on Cascade Creek Road.

At 9:15 p.m. a bear was reported at 4750 HPR; at 11:18 a.m. one was seen on Charteris Street; and at 11:29 p.m. one was seen at 1705 Edgecumbe Drive.

At 11:34 p.m. a bear was seen at 102 Eberhardt Drive, and at 11:48 p.m. it was seen at 107 Eberhardt.

October 19

A bike theft was reported on Tlinget Way.

At 2:29 p.m. a bear was seen at 4752 HPR.

At 7:53 p.m. trespassing was reported at  713 Katlian.

October 20

At 4 a.m. a bear was reported on Pirates Way.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls Friday, three on Saturday, one on Sunday  and one on Monday.

 

In Court

Conner J. Forrey, 27, was indicted Oct. 15 on one count of assault in the third degree, and two counts of stalking in the first degree. All are Class C felonies. The charges stemmed from activities on Sept. 29, when he was accused of the “intent to place another person in fear of death or serious physical injury.” He has been summoned to appear in court Oct. 26.
