Sitka Police Department received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

October 19

At 8:16 a.m. a traffic hazard was reported at Moller ball field where the wind had blown some baseball equipment around.

At 10 a.m. police assisted the
Adult Probation Office.

At 11:39 a.m. a bucket was reported in the roadway at the O’Connell Bridge. An officer removed it.

A civil dispute was reported on Darrin Drive.

At 1:44 p.m. a welfare check was requested at Moller ball field.

At 5:14 p.m. a traffic accident involving some property damage was reported in the 200 block of Lincoln Street.

At 7:53 p.m. a citizen was assisted at the airport.

At 10:45 p.m. a caller reported hearing a BB gun or air rifle on Eliason Loop. Officers didn’t locate a possible source.

At 11:48 p.m. a welfare check was requested on Monastery Street.

October 20

At 12:27 a.m. a resident on Andrew P. Hope Street was cited for having a bear attractant.

At 2:44 a.m. A resident on Wachusetts Street was given a warning for having a bear attractant.

At 3:44 a.m. a resident on Hirst Street was given a warning for having a bear attractant.
