Sitka Police Department received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

October 20

At 12:27 a.m. a resident on Andrew P. Hope Street was cited for having a bear attractant.

At 2:44 a.m. A resident on Wachusetts Street was given a warning for having a bear attractant.

At 3:44 a.m. a resident on Hirst Street was given a warning for having a bear attractant.

At 9:57 a.m. an harassment complaint came in from Lake and Lincoln streets.

At 11 a.m. a suspicious person was reported at Kaasda Heen Drive and Indian River Road.

At 2:35 p.m. police assisted the Yakutat Police Department with a search warrant.

A found property report came in at 3:33 p.m. from the 1200 block of SMC.

At 3:42 p.m. a reckless driver was reported in the 1300 block of SMC. Officers spoke with the driver.

At 4:34 p.m. a found property report came in from the 1900 block of SMC.

A report of harassment came in at 6:57 p.m. from Jamestown Drive.

A civil dispute was reported in the 1800 block of HPR at 7:13 p.m. Neither party wanted to press charges.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received five ambulance calls Thursday, and one call of burned food call.

Sitka Police

Sherry Binkie, 43, was charged Thursday with violating conditions of release.
