    Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
October 23
    A Samsung Galaxy S9 was lost.
    A man said his vehicle tires were flattened, possibly by a relative who had been intoxicated and was asked to leave. The man said he had no evidence but wanted documentation.
    A man’s report of neighbors harassing him was determined to be unfounded, and the man may have been suffering from use of meth.
    A resident reported a local caller had claimed  something was wrong with the resident’s credit card number. The resident hung up without providing information.
    A red beaded coin purse containing ID and a debit card was lost.
    At 1:36 p.m. an aggressive person was reported in the city administrator’s office. The person calmed down, however, and police weren’t needed.
    A shoplifter was caught on video stealing merchandise from a Lincoln Street store the previous day.
    A caller said a person was beating up a phone company employee in the store. The victim didn’t want to file charges but was given a ride to court to pursue a protective order.
    At 4:20 p.m. officers were advised a man was staggering back and forth on Lance Drive.
    Police returned a patient to the hospital after she left against advice.
    An ambulance was called for a woman who fell and cut her leg.
    A caller said a speeding motorcycle passed a vehicle on HPR.
    A woman complained about threatening text messages sent to her about her boyfriend. She was advised of her options.
October 24
    At 6:04 a.m. a caller reported the sound of screaming in the 2700 block of HPR. Officers found nothing.
    At 6:15 a.m. a caller said  a bear gets into garbage and keeps returning to Kramer Avenue. Police provided options after the resident asked about shooting the bear.
   
Emergency Calls
    Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 5:27 and 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
