Card of Thanks
Dear Editor: We appreciate your grace and understanding for the delay in our gratitude, and thanks for all of the support around our devastating loss of ‘‘Tuffy’’ Clifford Lance Robards.
To Tuffy’s family, friends, those considered family, our family at Stereo North and the entire City of sitka – thank you for everything.
There are not enough words or thanks for the amazing help, wonderful turnout, delicious food and beautiful stories about my son Tuffy.
To all those who traveled to Sitka to be a part of Tuffy’s services and Celebration of Life; those who helped st up; stayed after to visit and clean up; Trudy, Maxine and the staff at Prewitt’s Funeral Home; Bev’s Flowers and Gifts and Sitka Flowers for all the beautiful flower arrangements – thank you so much.
To every single person who has sent flowers, cards, given thoughtful words of comfort, all the visits, love and support during our tragic loss – thank you.
It fills my heart to know how loved Tuffy was and I will miss him every day. It is a comfort to know how deeply cared for and missed he will be by so many of the lives he touched in his time with us. Thank you,
Shirley Robards and all of Tuffy’s family

Police Building
Dear Editor: It is important to me that the City of Sitka has enough revenue to fix the infrastructure and to have enough money for a new police department building, thus the more cruise ships the better.
There is a tiny group in town that thinks they are the only voice and they are not, they should not think that they have the last word.
The cruise ship industry needs to make certain that there are enough buses to bring the tourists into town. That is what needs to be discussed. I have seen older people walking into town and it is too much for them. Let’s not let this tiny group with loud voices control the decisions about the tour ship industry.
We need to think about the businesses and the taxes that will be obtained.
