Going ‘Green’ Grants

Dear Editor: It would be nice to have grants to meet new going-green infrastructure.

1. Installing plug-ins for electric cars for apartments, including SMC, Tysons Terrace, senior housing, etc.

2. Low income people cannot afford to buy electric cars nor hybrid cars.

3. Vouchers for energy efficient cars.

4. Apartment and building owners upgrade buildings, like windows and doors and insulation, to make these dwellings “green.”

5. Instal solar panels in ALL buildings.

6. Have wind turbines.

7. Electric buses.

Here are some of the websites that I have found thus far:

Green Infrastructure Funding Opportunities | US EPA

Green Grants-Free Environmental Grants From Government | Government Grants.

Perhaps Sitka can show the rest of the world how to stop pollution.

I forgot to mention that I live in an apartment building, where my neighbors cannot afford to have electric or hybrid cars and there are no plug-ins for apartment buildings on Lance Drive.

Also, special thanks to the Sentinel for their generosity and support. In Jesus and Mary,
