Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
October 29
At 9:37 a.m. a man and two women were seeing acting in a suspicious manner at the restrooms at Lincoln and Harbor drive. Police found a few empty bottles of vodka but no drug paraphernalia.
The ACO retrieved a cat’s carcass from a yard in the 1200 block of HPR.
A bank bag was found on Harbor Mountain Road. Contents included foreign money and a Ride bus pass.
At 11:27 a.m. a caller complained about barking dogs on Edgecumbe Drive. The owner said it has been an issue because a new dog is in the pack. The animal control officer gave him some tips on controlling the problem.
A military ID was reported lost between Oct. 26 and 28.
Feral cats were reported on Princess Way.
A caller said a $100 car stereo was stolen between Saturday night and Monday, from Crescent Harbor.
A man drinking at the blockhouse was taken into protective custody due to his level of intoxication.
A debit card was left in a taxi.
A domestic violence order was given to police to serve.
Police seized marijuana from a high school student.
A phone found in 300 block of Lincoln Street was picked up by the owner.
An ambulance was sent to the jail for an inmate needing medical help.
An officer documented found property that may be involved in a case.
Sitka Police
Kristian Berg, 28, was charged Monday with driving under the influence.
Lars O. Hilde, 32, was arrested this morning on a charge of driving under the influence.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 9:53 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. Monday.
At 6:33 p.m. Monday a fire truck was sent to Seward Street for a malfunctioning dishwasher.
Coast Guard
Coast Guard Air Station Sitka helicopters medevacked two patients on Monday: a 69-year-old woman with heart problems from Haines to Juneau, where she was medevacked on a Guardian Air flight to Anchorage; and an 80-year-old woman with sudden vision problems, from Hoonah to Juneau.
