White Men
Dear Editors: OK, I’m ashamed of us white guys. Yes, you. And me. Any of us who had a mother knows that women are a higher form of life. Any of us who has let another be significant, knows that the significance grows and deepens because the other, and for most of us, the other is a woman, has a natural grasp on how to be a human.
It is hard to give up being self-entitled, but can’t you see that it is about time that we give up our history of going everywhere and dominating everything by force? What does it get us?
In the question of race, the world is populated by a rich mix of different people. Every time I have accidentally forgotten that I am a white guy, leading me to get to know someone different, pretty soon I couldn’t remember that we are different. This must be because the differences aren’t very important. Don’t even get me started on how we white guys would have killed off everybody and stolen everything if pathogens hadn’t done the dirty work for us, leaving only impoverished people too remote for us to reach. This is how we acquired our power.
Why do we even want to inherit power of that kind? Let’s knock it off and try to learn the fundamentals of being human. We are surrounded by the women who know a lot more about it than we do.
And let’s elect more of them.

Dear Editor: Profile in Courage. Sen. Lisa Murkowski is a life member of the National Rifle Association. God bless her. Judge Kavanaugh is a creep. The fearless fraud that promoted him makes me wonder.
