A busy holiday of sports begin today as the Sitka boys and girls varsity basketball teams host the Coastal Holiday Shootout.
The Wolves and Lady Wolves have moved past last week’s opening season losses to Thunder Mountain. Their high speed hoops show begins this evening with the girls taking on Thunder Mountain again (6 p.m.) and the boys welcoming the Ketchikan JV program (7:30 p.m.).
Early action pits the Craig Panthers girls against the Delta Huskies girls (3 p.m.) and the Craig boys against the Delta boys (4:30 p.m.).
A look outside shows that fans making their way to the games should allow an extra half-hour on the snow covered streets.
