Posted

Pam Beaudion, 66, of Salem, Oregon, passed away on June 7, 2024.

Pam was born on July 19, 1957, in Spokane, Washington, and when she was 2 her family moved to Sitka – a place that would shape much of her life and spirit. She remained in Sitka until the passing of her husband, Jim, after which she eventually made her home in Salem.

Pam is survived by her children, Joseph, Jeffery, Jimmy and Diana; nine grandchildren; 21 nieces and nephews; her brothers Steve and Chuck; and her sister Diana.

She was preceded in death by her sister Debra and brother Mike.

Pam was a woman with unmatched wit, grit, and heart. She was known for making the best chocolates and baked goods known to mankind, even if she complained about cooking the whole time. Her food brought people together—even when her sass kept them on their toes.

She had a fierce love for her family, a soft spot for Chihuahuas, and an ironclad rule: don’t touch her feet. She could only handle one alcoholic drink before getting tipsy and didn’t pretend otherwise. Her sense of humor was sharp, unfiltered, and unforgettable. If she told you to “f*** off,” it was probably followed by a warm plate of food and a hug.

Pam lived with honesty, fire, and an unapologetic sense of self. She loved hard, laughed loud, and left a legacy of stories, strength, and sweet treats that no one will ever forget.

A memorial potluck to celebrate Pam’s life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, August 23, at Halibut Point Recreation Area in Sitka.

Those attending are asked to take a dish, a story, and "your love for the one and only Pam," her family wrote. "She was truly one of a kind—and our world is better for having had her in it."
