Dear Editor: On behalf of our Sitka Cancer Survivor’s Society, we wish to give a huge shout out and a big thanks for all the volunteers who came to help us in our spring cleanup this past Saturday at the Path of Hope Park.
We had about 20 people, all geared up with rubber gloves, ready to clean the benches, the inspirational plaques – they were armed with rakes, clippers, ready to weed, trim and prune bushes. All were hard workers, and got the park looking beautiful, shining, with new plants planted, and ready for visitors to enjoy the park.
