At 96, Paul George Greimann Jr. passed away after a brief illness on August 15, 2026. A resident of the Sitka Pioneers Home, he was on an annual fishing trip in Soldotna at the time of his death.

After Paul's career teaching in Nome then Fairbanks, they gardened during the Fairbanks summers, motor homed the Alaska highway and throughout the U.S., enjoyed the warmth at their Arizona winter home, captured the excitement of salmon fishing on the Kenai River, and treasured the time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They had moved to Sitka in 2022 to be close to family.
Paul and Agnes were married for 75 years and celebrated their big day with their friends and family at the Sitka Pioneers home in November 2024 where Agnes lived for the last couple of years of her life. Paul lost Agnes, the love of his life, in March of the following year.
