Peaceful Holiday

Posted

Dear Editor: As the year draws to a close, we’re reminded of the strength that comes from community. While the holidays look different for everyone, no one should have to face hardship alone.

At SAFV, we are here every day offering safety, advocacy, and support to survivors and families in our community. During the holidays, our staff and volunteers continue this work by creating moments of connection, from shared meals to donated gifts, and by just offering a confidential space to talk.

If you’re looking for ways to help others, small actions matter: donating food or warm essentials, volunteering, or listening to someone without judgement. Together, these efforts remind survivors that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

If you or someone you know needs help, SAFV advocates are available 24/7. Call (907) 747-3370 or text (907) 623-7820 to connect with an advocate.

With gratitude and peace,
