Dear Editor: On behalf of Sitka Cirque, and the Baranof Bruins Wrestling Club, we wanted to give a big shout-out and thank you to everyone who helped make our recent Rueda Salsa event such a success. We had an awesome turnout, with more than 50 folks participating in the kids and adults salsa classes and dancing. It was great to see so many community members having fun and dancing together!
A special note of appreciation to the Friends of the Sitka Circus Arts board members for their support and sponsorship – your help really made a difference. Thanks also to Raven Radio for featuring us in the morning interview – we appreciate your helping us share what we do. Jasmine Shaw was so generous with her time and salsa expertise! And a big thank you to the Sitka Sentinel and Garland for taking such great photos and publishing the thoughtful piece. Your coverage really helps us get the word out and connect with more folks.
We’re grateful for all the support and look forward to more community fun in the future!
Thanks again,
Brendan Jones,
Baranof Bruins Wrestling coach
Frances Donohoe,
