Samantha Rose (Lane) Brevick died unexpectedly on April 23, 2016, while in Anchorage, at the age of 27.

A celebration of her life will be held 6 p.m. Friday, May 6, at the Swan Lake Senior Center. Friends and family attending are invited to take a dish and memories to share.

Samantha was born March 18,1989, in Anchorage, the daughter of Linda   and James Miller Lane.

She grew up in Sitka, and graduated from Pacific High School in 2007. As a school project, she helped carve the totem pole in front of PHS, and also drew the design for the aluminum sign in front of the school.

She and Rodney Keith Brevick Jr. were married in 2009, and they had two daughters.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Miller Lane.

Samantha is survived by her husband Rodney Keith Brevick Jr. and their two daughters, Amura Rose Brevick, 6, and Kaiya Dorothy Brevick, 5, of Sitka; her mother, Linda Davidson, of Wrangell;  and sister Danielle Lane of Anchorage.

Her parents-in-law Darlene and Rodney Brevick Sr., of Sitka; siblings-in-law John Brevick and Wade Brevick of Sitka, Tina (Brett) Brown of Everett, Wash., Eva (Damon) Roher of Wrangell, and Julie (Brian Allen) of Wrangell.
