An Air Station Sitka Jayhawk helicopter takes off Wednesday afternoon from Japonski Island. The U.S. Coast Guard Air Station is hosting the multi-agency search and rescue exercise "SAREX" through today. The activities, held during daytime, cover all areas of Sitka Sound, and adjacent shores and mountains.
