Harlan J. Adams passed away on May 26, 2026, at Swedish Hospital, Cherry Hill Campus, Seattle, Washington.
Harlan was born on February 9, 1940, in Yakutat, Alaska. He and his family moved to Kake, Alaska in 1953.
Harlan married Lavina on May 13, 1959. They were married for 63 years. Lavina passed away on May 26, 2022.
Harlan worked at Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) for 46 years. He didn’t miss the work—he missed his friends.
Harlan’s ashes were spread on August 3 at the same place as Lavina.
He is survived by his daughter, Connie Adams Johnson, granddaughters Megan Johnson and Catherine Johnson, son Thomas H. Adams. His twin brother Clifford Adams, brother Peter and Stephanie Adams. He has numerous cousins and other family members; and many friends.
"I want to thank Clifford Adams, Rose Madura, Suzette Carlson, and Bev and Lonnie Anderson for standing by my side," his son said. "My Dad loved your company."
The family thanked the staff at the Alaska Native Medical Center, and the staff at Swedish Hospital Cherry Hill Campus.
