Thanks, CCTHITA
Dear Editor: Sitkans Against Family Violence staff and board express their highest gratitude and appreciation to Central Council of Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska with President Richard Chalyee Éesh Peterson and Chris Cropley and Luke Johnson at Tidal Network for helping Sitka and SAFV at a time of crisis.
Our shelter director reached out for help with internet services and received a prompt response. Tidal Network installed a Starlink unit at our main office and connected us to the satellite system. This happened on a Sunday!
We feel privileged we had our internet and cell capacity recovered so quickly. After all, SAFV is an emergency response agency that is essential for the safety of community members. Gunalchéesh and Háw’áa for supporting Sitka.

CCTHITA Thank You
Dear Editor: Sitka School District would like to thank the Central Council of Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska for loaning the district four Starlink devices.
They are currently being used at four schools and are making the lives of many of the Sitka School District employees and students much easier during this internet outage.
We would also like to thank Luke Johnson for his expertise (and cheerful disposition) in reaching out to offer equipment and support. Gunalchéesh, Háw’aa, Thank You!
