SAIL Picnic
Dear Editor: Thank you to everyone who came to the Southeast Alaska Independent Living picnic on Aug. 25. It was a great community event that allowed SAIL consumers, donors, and community members to get together. SAIL staff joined members of the community in biking around the neighborhood and kayaking on Swan Lake which was a lot of fun! Thank you to everyone who brought food and especially to Brian O’Callaghan who helped organize the lovely live music for the picnic.

Dear Editor: What is the real reason behind the canceling of Home Health? Is it because Medicare does not cover the full charges, so it isn’t cost-effective?
The first new item mentioned a possible Home Health project being worked out at the Outpatient. That could be a possibility. The charge could be an office call. A little shady?
