Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:

September 17

At 1:59 a.m. a disturbance was reported at Totem Square.

A noise complaint in the 3300 block of HPR came in at 7:56 a.m.

A bike was reported stolen from Verstovia Avenue at 7:56 a.m.

A complaint of trespassing came in from SEARHC at 9:18 a.m.

At 11:48 a.m. a call for citizen assistance came in from the Baranof trail head.

A theft in the 2000 block of HPR was reported at 1:08 p.m.

At 2 p.m. a traffic accident with damage was reported on Jarvis St. 

A citizen assist call came in at 7 p.m. from the Cross Trail, across from Sandy Beach.

A downtown bar reported trespassing at 9:48 p.m.

At 10:18 p.m. suspicious activity was listed in the 400 block of Katlian.

September 18

At 12:26 a.m. a bear was reported in the 2200 block of SMC.

 

Sitka Police

Justin Osbakken, 29, was charged today with violating conditions of release and driving with a revoked license.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 6:48 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. today.

At 2:14 p.m. Thursday, an engine was sent to Jarvis Street where a vehicle had struck a building. No action was required.

 

At 5:22 p.m. Thursday an engine was sent to 404 Lake Street where food had burned, but no fire resulted.
