    Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
September 18
    A caller reported losing a black iPhone 8 in a black case.
    A minor traffic accident with no injuries was reported in the 100 block of Lincoln Street at 12:15 p.m.
    At 1 p.m. a caller reported finding an open suitcase on a trail next to the Hames Center, and asked for help gathering the items since there were sometimes strange people in the area. Officers picked up the items.
    At 3:15 p.m. a man was found sleeping in the first floor restrooms at city hall. He blew a .348 PBT and was taken to the hospital.
    A trespass form was signed against a man to keep him away from a grocery store for 30 days.
    A caller said a flute was taken from a bag that she had set down earlier near a thrift shop. The flute is a Jupiter or Yamaha, she said. She provided a description of a vehicle whose driver may have taken it.
    At 8:34 p.m. a city employee asked for help getting into city hall to retrieve her belongings.
Sept. 19
    At 12:39 a.m. a resident told police she had to leave her taxi in a public park parking lot overnight because she had a flat tire.

In Court
    Janet T. Joseph, 44, was sentenced to five days on a charge of violating conditions, and 10 days, suspended on a charge of criminal trespass in the second degree. She will be on probation for a year and is to have no contact with a specific hotel in Sitka. She is to complete counseling recommendations. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed.
   
Sitka Police
    Amelia Merculief, 21, was arrested Wednesday on a Bethel warrant.
       
Emergency Calls
    Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 3:33 p.m., 5:34 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. Wednesday.
