    Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
September 23
    At 11:54 a.m. a caller reported hearing gunshots at the Eliason transient float. The harbor department checked and found nothing amiss.
    At 1 p.m. a store manager reported having issues with a customer who was upset. An officer responded, the issue was resolved and the person was trespassed for a period of time.
    A weapons violation is under investigation.
      A wallet was found on Cross Trail.
    A unicorn coffee cup with lollipops inside was found in a preschool playhouse on the playground. The person who located it found it odd.
    A case of drug abuse is under investigation.
    A pistol was found on the ground at Marine and Erler streets.
    At 6:49 p.m. a woman said her brother punched her in the face, and she was concerned she may have knocked him over when she drove off because he was part way in her vehicle. Officers responded.
    At 7:33 p.m. a caller said people had pulled off the road near Whale Park, and it looked like they may have been trading information about some type of accident. Police were advised.
    A black laptop case was left at the airport. Police were able to determine the owner, as well as where he was staying while in Sitka. The B&B owner sent an email to the owner to let him know where the case was.
September 24
    A resident asked for an ambulance for a medical emergency.
   
Sitka Police
    Karl Burkhart, 61, was arrested Monday on a charge of assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.
    Randy Sipe, 58, was arrested Monday on two Sitka warrants: failing to appear on an original charge of criminal trespass; and a charge of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree.

Emergency Calls
    Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 10:15 a.m. and 3:54 p.m. Monday, and 1:58 a.m. today.
