Dear Editor: We would like to express our total support for Rebecca Himschoot for a seat on the Sitka Assembly. She is practical, straightforward, and a very knowledgeable candidate.
Rebecca’s experience for many years as a teacher in the school district has fine-tuned her ability to be thoughtful, to be a good listener, and an effective communicator with community members. Rebecca’s service and experience on the State Board of Education expanded her understanding of politics and working collaboratively. This knowledge will serve our community well. We encourage you to vote for Rebecca.

Dear Editor: Sitka is truly a beautiful place to live, filled with beautiful people. My husband and I would like to take a moment to thank those who helped make our wedding extraordinarily perfect.
I would like to thank Suzanne from Salon 264, Jessica Scouller from Lash Amoré Beauty Lounge, Bev’s Flowers, Caitlin Fondell Photography, Russell’s, Bekah Bakes, Math, Renee & Zoe Trafton from The BeAK Restaurant, Cheryl Vastola of Sewing Solutions, Krystina Scheller and Erik de Jong and Frances Brann for allowing us space on their beautiful property, which was the perfect setting.
Last but not least, I want to thank Panya Hutton for being an amazing wedding planner. I was able to enjoy a peaceful morning with my daughters. Thank you.
