Dear Editor: Yesterday, a historic number of signatures were submitted to the Division of Elections, ending the first phase of the Recall Dunleavy effort. 49,006 signatures were turned in, including nearly a thousand from Sitka! To the many Sitkans who took the time to sign and the many others who may have wished to but not had the opportunity, thank you.

At this point, the effort needs donations from supporters everywhere. Please visit recalldunleavy.org/donate and encourage your friends, family, and neighbors to do so as well.
