Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:

At 2:16 a.m. citizen contact was made at Gary Paxton Industrial Park.
The waste water plant alarm sounded at 8:44 a.m.
At 9:21 a.m. a welfare check was requested on Andrews Street.
A downtown business at Lincoln and Maksoutoff streets reported a theft at 10:11 a.m.
A traffic complaint was logged at Darrin Drive and HPR at 1:09 p.m.
At 4:10 p.m., criminal mischief was reported on Japonski Island.
A disturbance was reported in the 3200 block of HPR.
At 10:12 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 3000 block of HPR.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received four ambulance calls Tuesday and two early today.
At 5:27 p.m. Tuesday an engine was sent to Flume Circle where burned food had caused alarm but no fire.
