Dear Editor: The Sitka Shore Shots Skeet and Trap Youth Team would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the generous donors who made our recent fundraiser a tremendous success.
We are grateful to Alaska Seaplanes for two round-trip tickets; Delta Western for a $500 fuel gift card; Sitka Sound Seafoods for 100 pounds of rockfish fillets; Foreign Auto for a $100 gift card and golf balls; Island Marine for a $500 cash donation; Northern Sales for three cases of french fries; A.C. Lakeside for a $200 gift card; Orion Sporting Goods for a Therm-a-Rest sleeping bag; K&E Construction for two dump truck loads of aggregate; Spenard Builders Supply for a DeWalt drill and driver bit set; NAPA Auto Supply for a 200-piece mechanics tool set; Holst Machinery for a $300 cash donation; and Birch Equipment Rental for three $50 gift cards.
A special thank you to the Elks Lodge and event crew for hosting us, Beau Hedrick for auctioneering, Richie Richards and his cook crew, all Elks members and guests who bid, and everyone who donated baked goods, sushi, and pet supplies.
Every dollar raised goes directly toward sending our young athletes to regional and state competitions, covering travel costs, and providing the equipment and supplies they need to compete and grow. Beyond the sport, these youths are learning responsible gun handling and safety skills that make our entire community safer. This community's generosity means the world to these kids and keeps our program strong. Thank you, Sitka — you make it possible!
