Sitka’s Tevin Bayne has been chosen as a North West Athletic Conference (NWAC) 1st Team All Northern Region selection.
NWAC is a four region, 34-team conference of community colleges throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Bayne, a 2016 Sitka High School graduate, and former Wolves basketball starter, is a sophomore at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, Washington. He led the Orcas in 3-point average for three weeks in the conference and averaged 17.2 PPG, 42 percent 3 FG, and 6.4 RPG per game.
The Orcas just lost in the NWAC quarterfinals to Spokane Community College. They finished their season 14-14 overall and 7-7 in conference.
Bayne’s selection for first-team honors means he will be playing in the NWAC all-star game on Sunday morning at Everett Community College. The game will be live streamed at 11:45 a.m. The info is at http://www.nwa.csports.org/basketball/championship/index.php.
Bayne hopes to continue his career in basketball. He is the son of Nick and Ingfrid Olney-Miller and Trent Bayne.
