Acknowledging that travel to Sitka comes with a great expense, Sitka High Activities Director Rich Krupa thanked volunteers and participants at Saturday’s Coastal Holiday Shootout.
“Not all schools in the state are willing to travel to Sitka,” Krupa said. “We’d like to thank Thunder Mountain, Delta, Craig, Mt. Edgecumbe and our old friends from Ketchikan for traveling during the holiday season to play in Sitka.”
Sitka students also provided a regional basketball atmosphere as the pep band played during games, including “Hey, Girl (I Want To Know Right Now)” on Friday, where the band held up various Lady Wolves names as the team warmed up.
