With the City League basketball season well underway and more games on the schedule, the BE Team leads the Women’s Division, with Sitka Travel and Sitka Bulk Goods in second and third place respectively. Sitka Travel defeated Bulk Goods 46-37 Monday and will play the BE Team 7:45 p.m. tonight. City League games are played at the Blatchley Middle School gym.
In the Masters’ League, Subway holds the top seed, with Harry Race in second. They will face off Jan. 10 at 8:45 p.m.
In the Recreational Division, Allen Marine holds the top spot, followed by the Tlingit Hustlers and Hard Rock. On Monday, the Hustlers won against Hard Rock 54-42. Tonight at 8:45 p.m. Allen Marine plays the Tlingit Hustlers.
In the Upper Division, AKO Direct leads by a wide margin with an 11-1 season record. In second place, Entropy has won six and lost six. Island Boyz is in third with five wins and four losses, followed by Shaman Furs with four wins and eight losses and Schmolck with three wins and eight losses. On Tuesday, Schmolck fell to Shaman Furs 61-54, and Entropy beat the Island Boyz 53-39. On Thursday, AKO plays Schmolck at 7:45 p.m.
