Softball Article

Dear Editor: I thoroughly enjoyed the article ‘‘Sitka Softball Players Runners-Up in State Championship’’ of June 8 by Shannon Haugland. This is sports journalism at its very best. There is the David versus Goliath theme, heroics, consummate team spirit, and much, much wisdom. I have re-read this article many times, and I have gotten choked up each time.

Caps off to the players and coaches, the Sentinel, and Ms. Haugland.
