Dear Editor: We would like to thank the Sitka Rotary Club for their generous donation to the Babies and Books program. Their support helps ensure that young children in our community have access to books that inspire a lifelong love of reading.
The Babies and Books program encourages early literacy by providing free books to infants and toddlers in Sitka. Families receive age-appropriate books along with tips for reading with young children, helping parents and caregivers foster a love of reading from the very start.
The goal is to build language skills and give every child in our community a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
The Rotary’s commitment to investing in our children’s future is truly appreciated and their gift will make a difference for local families.
