Dear Editor: Article III, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution defines treason narrowly as levying war against the United States or aiding its enemies.
The sitting U.S. president has deployed military forces on American soil to support operations targeting both documented and undocumented citizens and migrants. Tragically, innocent lives have been lost. Meanwhile, his recent easing of oil sanctions on Russia provides direct economic relief to Vladimir Putin, an avowed adversary of the United States and the free world.
Admittedly, these actions may not meet the Constitution’s narrow legal definition of treason. However, they raise a deeply troubling question about the president's true obligations to the American people, and his willingness to aid a foreign adversary.
Does this man have no honor?
