STRASBOURG, France (AP) — United States midfielder Gio Reyna scored for Strasbourg against Paris Saint-Germain in the French league on Saturday.
Reyna broke the deadlock in the 17th minute with a low shot that took a slight deflection past Matvey Safonov in the PSG goal.
It was enough for the home team to lead 1-0 at halftime.
The 23-year-old Reyna was making his seventh league appearance for Strasbourg after joining the team from German side Borussia Mönchengladbach in the offseason. He scored in a 6-2 win at Troyes last month.
PSG coach Luis Enrique started with Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué on the bench, having already rested Dembélé for two Ligue 1 games this season.
PSG will face Dembélé's former team Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.
