Volleyball Tourney Underway

In the opening of the City League volleyball tournament Monday, the Queen Bees defeated Ernie’s team, and Fisheye toppled Petro Marine, in the Competitive Division.

On Tuesday, Recreational Division teams leapt into action, and the SEARHC Slammers notched a 2-0 win against the Pacific Spikers, and the Beak Brunchers lost 2-1 to the Sitka Nuggets.

In competitive games Wednesday, Our Town Catering beat the Queen Bees 2-0 and Fisheye fell 2-0 to Yellow Jersey.

In recreational matches, Tongass FCU beat the SEARHC Slammers 2-0, while the Pacific Spikers lost to the Brunchers.

Games will continue through the week at the Blatchley gym.
