Dear Editor: JKT has become a common household name for us over the past several decades. Watching Jonathan grow up, following his accomplishments as a young person and then an adult, marveling at his grit and determination, and engaging in lively discussions with him on the road has been such an interesting and rich experience for me.
JKT is as brilliant as he is unique. As steadfast in his commitments as he is respectful, ethical, and kind. He’s a rare human, and I believe that with him at the helm, this ship – the Great State of Alaska – could sail prosperously into the future, serving as a model for the rest of the country to emulate.
He cares deeply about the sanctity of education, the wise management of our natural resources, the state of our economy and public finances, and HE CARES DEEPLY about the wonderfully diverse people who are fortunate enough to call Alaska home!
JKT is no stranger nor a neophyte to the job of governing our state. At 23, he knocked on every door in the district; he ended up defeating a powerful incumbent and diligently served the people for 5 terms… that’s 10 years… in the state Legislature. And, during that time, he was instrumental in forming a bipartisan coalition; we can accomplish so much more when we work together for the good of all!
Now, at 37, a well-seasoned JKT is running for the top office in Alaska. I’m grateful to him for stepping forward, for being not only willing but excited to lead our great state to greatness. I’ll be casting my ballot for Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins for governor, and I encourage others to do the same. Thank you,
Davey Lubin, Sitka
