Wolves Play v. Houston Hawks

The Sitka High Lady Wolves basketball team scored a 58-23 win over the Houston Lady Hawks Wednesday evening at Sitka High School. In the second half, Sitka limited Houston to only 8 points across 16 minutes of play.

On the boys’ side of the court, the Wolves fell to the Hawks 73-65. Sitka outscored Houston in the second and fourth quarters, but a dominant performance in the third gave Houston a lead the home team couldn’t surpass.

Prior to the varsity matches, the junior varsity squads faced off as well. The Lady Wolves JV beat Houston 41-26, and Sitka’s JV boys won 60-37.

The teams play again today, and the Hawks face the Mt. Edgecumbe Braves and Lady Braves Friday and Saturday. The schedule is below.
