‘Let’s Talk!’
Series to Run
“Let’s Talk,” a new discussion series, will begin Sunday and continue through April and May at the Unitarian Fellowship Hall.
Gathering begins at 10:30 a.m., with the program at 10:45 a.m.
Participants can propose a topic for discussion. One or two will be chosen for discussion on Sunday, and others prioritized for discussion at future meetings.
All are invited to attend. The hall is located at 408 Marine Street, with parking behind, off Spruce Street.
Racial Equity
Book Club Meets
The Social Justice and Racial Equity Book Club, hosted by Sitka Counseling, meets 7-8:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 111 Metlakatla Street.
The next meeting will be March 22.
The group recently started “The Map of Salt and Stars” by author Jennifer Zaynab Joukhadar, which portrays historical and modern perspectives on lived experiences of Syrian refugees.
Sitka Counseling has a few copies to lend. Stop by their office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
