Brave Heart Bowls
Slated for July 1
Brave Heart Bowls is planned 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at Centennial Hall.
More than 200 hand-crafted ceramic bowls and cups will be available for a suggested donation. Participants will leave with a cup of soup and bread to-go.
The fundraiser is to support the essential work of Brave Heart Volunteers.
‘‘We champion those experiencing loneliness, grief and end-of-life,’’ the organization said.
Book Sale For
Fine Arts Camp
Sitka Fine Arts Camp will have a book sale by donation 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, May 27, and Sunday, May 28, in the Smokestack Building on the SJ Campus.
A wide range of classics and contemporary fiction as well as historical books will be available.

Quilters to Meet
Ocean Wave Quilters will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at United Methodist Church.

The estimated local share of the project would be $37,000.
