CHANNEL SAILING – Instructor Jasmine Shaw rows as 4-H students navigate in a dory rigged for sailing Thursday. The 4-H club in partnership with the Sitka Maritime Heritage Society built several dories in 2018. On Thursday the two organizations collaborated again to outfit one of the dories with a sailing rig using a tarp for the sail. The club members were able to test the system in Sitka Channel in a light breeze. (Sentinel Photo by James Poulson)
